A Classic Philadelphia Love Story: Gabby & Nick’s Elegant Ritz-Carlton Wedding

Gabby and Nick are the epitome of a classic Philadelphia couple. We did their engagement shoot in the Italian Market and they had many Italian themes running throughout their wedding day. Notably a delicious Viennese Hour with espresso martinis and cannolis.

The day started at a suite in The W Hotel with the groomsmen and with the ladies at the old bank turned Ritz-Carlton. Gabby ended up needing 5 people to help her get into her Nicole + Felicia (custom dress designer for Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour”) gown. Coming in at 22 lbs, the dress was truly an incredible piece of art.

The first look was captivating – set in the private stairwell to the underground vaults of the old bank. The stairs were adorned with candles as Gabby and Nick saw each other for the first time that day.

Their ceremony was held at the magnificent Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Center City, Philadelphia. Portraits followed throughout City Hall and with a quick stroll through the streets of Philadelphia. We especially love the documentary nature of photographing in the city – the interaction with the people who live in the “City of Brotherly Love”.

Finally, the reception was classic, moody, and full of love – first dances, speeches, and a night of dancing under the jaw-dropping chandelier of The Ritz.
