Larita Fisher Photography
LFP is for the true romantics – those who are looking for a chic, effortless photo experience on the most important day of their life. We blend a mix of documenting the natural atmosphere and connection our couples share while also giving the thoughtful guidance needed to capture those jaw-dropping portraits you see in our portfolio. The result is imagery that feels both editorial and honest. Our goal is always timeless photographs that look beautiful and feel deeply personal.
Behind LaRita Fisher Photography
What draws you to wedding photography?
Photography was woven into my life early on. With both my mom and sister behind the lens, I grew up assisting – holding reflectors, modelling, and watching my mom edit for hours. I’d sit beside her, drawing as she worked, not realizing at the time that we were both creating art in our own ways. When I finally picked up a camera myself, it all clicked—this was my creative medium, my way of capturing beauty in its most fleeting, authentic form. I love that this is a career that allows me to blend art with emotion. I truly cannot imagine myself doing anything else!
How do you want couples to feel when they revisit their photos?
I want their photos to feel timeless, artful, and deeply personal all at once. Beautiful enough to belong in a magazine, but meaningful enough to live on their walls forever. I want my couples to have photos that bring back the flood of emotions that you feel on your wedding day!
Where do you find creative inspiration outside of weddings?
Short answer: really in any other form of art. More specifically, I feel most inspired when I’m surrounded by paintings; it could be when I’m in the Louvre in Paris, the Sistine Chapel in Rome, or simply when I’m home painting backdrops in my garage!
What are your favourite moments on a wedding day?
I love the first few moments after a bride steps into her gown on her wedding morning. I love photographing the first time a groom sees his bride on their wedding day – whether it’s a first look or down the aisle. And I love, love, love a good dance floor.
Is there a dream location you’d love to shoot a wedding in?
So many! I’m always drawn to Europe even in my personal travels. I photographed my first wedding weekend abroad in Tuscany, Italy last year which was a dream come true. I think it would be so fun to photograph a chic wedding weekend in Paris or at a chateau in Provence!
