Poppy + Lynn, led by founder Amy Lynn, is a wedding planning and design agency that is equal parts wild and witty, chaotic and creative, and high end but never stuffy.
Coming from a background of fashion and theater, Amy took her passion for the dramatic and turned it into a career full of love, creativity, and, as any wedding vendor will tell you, tons of crazy stories. Her work has graced the pages of The New York Times, BRIDES, Bustle, The Knot, and many more
Amy is passionate about working with couples from all backgrounds to create weddings that are unique, personal, and a damn good time.

My background is in fashion and theater, so my career initially started out in fashion marketing. I focused on brand activations and events and photo production- but I kept feeling like I was missing something more. I ended up pivoting into weddings because I can still flex that creative muscle but the events I’m doing have deeply personal and unique meaning behind it. I’m not planning events to sell things or have brand awareness- these are huge life milestones and I get to hyper personalize the day to reflect my clients’ love stories. How cool is that?
My top priority is that my clients get to feel like a guest at their own wedding. I don’t want them to be worrying about anything on the back end or logistically. Throughout the process, I want to try to find opportunities to make it fun and be creative. When the day comes, they should feel loved and supported and be able to see the finished product that we have worked so hard on come to life. When the day is over, I want them to feel like they had a celebration that was reflective of them and not just a cookie cutter wedding. There should be little easter eggs and things throughout the design and flow of the day that are inherently them.
Given my background, I find a lot of inspiration in art, fashion, and theater. I also love looking at interior design for inspiration. A big part of my job is transforming spaces and making them evoke a feeling. So having a knowledge of interior design and that love of theater, of transporting people to somewhere magical and to escape the mundane day to day is something that is invaluable and what sets me apart from other planners.
I love lining up my clients for the ceremony and watching their faces right as we are about to open the door for them to walk down the aisle. I also love getting to witness their reactions to the spaces for the first time. We work so intimately for so long and it brings me so much joy to show them all the hard work we have done has paid off.
I spent some time studying abroad in the South of France, and I think it would be so full circle to go back there and plan a wedding in this area. That time of my life was very formative, and the area is just stunning. There are so many gorgeous scenes and old architecture that would make for incredible settings for a wedding.
