What draws you to weddings?
What draws me to weddings is the anticipation. There’s something incredibly special about witnessing marriage in its infancy, especially from such an intimate perspective. The readiness and willingness it takes to meet one another at the aisle and choose a life together. You’ve gathered the people you love most to witness the beginning of your next chapter. Two lives becoming one and witnessing the willingness to choose one another, and to preserve the very beginning of that commitment, is what draws me.
How do you want couples to feel when they experience your work?
I want my couples to feel assured, confident, and completely at ease, to finally step outside of all the planning and details it took to arrive at their day and simply experience it. From that point forward, it’s on me. It’s an honor to walk alongside them throughout the entire experience, creating a space where they can be fully present, have fun, and trust that everything is being thoughtfully documented. More than anything, I want the experience to feel effortless, enjoyable, and genuinely like we’re in it together.
Where do you find creative inspiration outside of weddings?
I find inspiration in everything around me, in God, nature, family, art, and cinema! These are the things that first shape the way I see and ultimately guided me into this work. I’ve learned to notice light, movement, connection, emotion, and the beauty within ordinary moments in all of this.. That inspiration is woven into every aspect of how I create and how I choose to tell a story.
What are your favorite moments on a wedding day?
I love what I call the “oh, it’s happening” moments, when you’re both fully dressed, the anticipation settles in, and then when you realize you’re just moments away from walking down the aisle. There’s something so thrilling about the nerves, excitement, and emotion in that those moments. And then, of course, the vows...whether shared during the ceremony or privately. Those are the moments that get me every time. I find myself getting emotional behind the camera every time, hearing the love and commitment pour out in front of me. It’s a beautiful moment and an honor.
Is there a dream location you'd love to work a wedding in?
someday—Brazil is high on the list, too. But beyond any one destination, I’m most drawn to places and cultures that are completely new to me. I love experiencing the ways different cultures and heritages celebrate marriage—the traditions, energy, family, and meaning woven into each union. There’s something so inspiring about witnessing love celebrated in a way that reshapes how I see and experience these moments. Take me somewhere that surprises me, and I’m there :)
