What draws you to wedding photography?
I’ve always been drawn to the emotional weight of photographs. Weddings are one of the rare moments in life when all the people who matter most are gathered together. There’s always an incredible mix of joy, excitement and energy in the air and it’s so fun to document.
How do you want couples to feel when they revisit their photos?
These are the photos for your kitchen table in 30 years, not just for Instagram. I want them to feel nostalgic, full of life and beautifully in the moment.
Where do you find creative inspiration outside of weddings?
Old family film photos, vintage art books + fashion magazines, the way the light dances through the day, the quiet ways people connect with one another.
What are your favorite moments on a wedding day?
I love showing up and seeing a couple’s vision fully come to life – all the details, all in one place. I’m especially drawn to the emotion and the quiet family nuances – the joy, the connection. When grandparents are there, it’s something that never feels taken for granted and it’s one of my favorite subjects to photograph. My all time favorite thing is seeing couples madly in love, fully present, soaking in every bit of their day without a worry in the world.
Is there a dream location you’d love to shoot a wedding in?
Anywhere submerged in nature, deeply personal, with a little bit of adventure. A dream would be an elopement on a sailboat off the coast of Spain or an intimate wedding at a villa in the French countryside, dining and dancing under string lights and the moon.
