What draws you to wedding photography?

Seeing the true connection not just between the people getting married, but also in their families and friends’ eyes is what draws me to wedding photography. Wedding details and venues are beautiful and some of my favorite things to photograph, but at the end of the day I want to capture the heart and actual emotions people are experiencing together knowing that this is the start of a lifetime and not just one day.

How do you want couples to feel when they revisit their photos?

Joyful!!!! This is the number one word that comes to mind when I think of how I want my clients to feel. I also want them to see themselves authentically both as individuals and as a couple. 

Where do you find creative inspiration outside of weddings? 

The way my son looks at the world in wonder, music!!!, architecture, the way light filters through the trees in the morning

What are your favorite moments on a wedding day? 

The quiet moments before a first look and ceremony, the moment you can see a bride/groom’s shoulders instantly relax when they see their partner for the first time, the small glances and hands held during the vows/dances/speeches

Is there a dream location you’d love to shoot a wedding in? 

any of the mansions or Castle Hill in Newport, RI or one day hopefully Ireland!!
