Gina Wolf is the owner and lead planner of Timeless Events, a boutique wedding and event studio in Virginia Beach.

Gina planned celebrations for friends and family for over a decade before launching Timeless Events in 2024. Her own wedding is part of why: the details she wishes had gone differently are the ones she now refuses to let her couples miss.

A short interview

What draws you to weddings?

What draws me to weddings is the moment a vision stops living in someone's head and becomes a real room you can walk into. I've loved that since my fashion days, watching a sketch turn into something you could actually wear. Now I get to do it for couples, and I get to make sure they never have to stress about how it comes together.

How do you want couples to feel when they experience your work?

I want couples to feel like guests at their own wedding. Not checking a timeline, not fielding vendor questions, not wondering if the linens showed up — just fully in it, present for the parts they'll actually remember. If they walk away saying it felt effortless, that means everything behind the scenes worked.

Where do you find creative inspiration outside of weddings?

Fashion is where I always come back to — runway shows, street style, the way a single color or texture sets a whole mood. Film does it too; I'll stop a movie to look at how a room is dressed. And honestly, a lot of it comes from the people around me, a group of friends who are all making something, which keeps me thinking in ways I wouldn't on my own.

What are your favorite moments on a wedding day?

The first dance always gets me. Everything they planned for is behind them, and they finally get to just be married and enjoy the night. But my other favorite is the one nobody sees: standing in a finished, empty room before the first guest walks in, when the design is complete and still perfectly still.

Is there a dream location you'd love to work a wedding in?

Honestly, my favorite locations are the ones that already mean something — a beach they've walked a hundred times, a venue tied to their family. That's the part I love, getting to build on a story that started long before me. If I could pick a bucket-list spot though, it would be Vienna or somewhere in Italy, both places that hold so much love and memory for me.
